| Today has been a right bonny day, lots of sunshine and the temperature around 6 dec C according to my little thermometer. I was out and about feeding the waifs and strays, cats and kittens. That is one thing Orkney has in great numbers, lots of stray cats. But to be fair the Cats Protection League are doing a grand job of rounding them up and getting them spayed and neutered. Anyway back to feeding time, I had just come in and was watching out of the window to see who turned up for grub, when I noticed something white coming up the drive. When it came into full view it was huge white goose, don't know if it was a snow goose I'm not really upto spec with my birds. He or she was very nice anyway, it stayed for about an hour, when hubby came in I pointed it out and he said maybe it has come for xmas, goosey was off then and I haven't seen it since! |
