Well that may be counting our chickens, but the weather is definitely on the turn. The last two days have been corkers, we even had our first barbi. Having said that we are barbeque fanatics, first sign of a fine day and it's out with the barbi! Perhaps a hang over from our time in South Africa. The daffodils are in bud, the crocuses are in flower and the Lavateria that we planted next to the garden wall even looks to have survived. So we're happy bunnies.

We used to live in the Midlands near Burton on Trent.
Westray was a lucky chance. I saw an advert for our house in the Exchange and Mart, the rest as they say is history.
The Orkny forum is a great place to ask questions, the people there are very friendly and very helpful and there seems to be a nice balance of "locals", "incomers" and "wanabees" :-)
